A good quality antique George III mahogany serpentine fronted small chest of drawers. This 18th century Geo III mahogany commode has oak lined drawers and a wonderful rich colour. The whole is constructed from Cuban mahogany and has the desirable canted corners with conforming thumb moulded to top and base. The whole stands on original shaped bracket feet. This piece of furniture retains a wonderful rich original patina and so shows evidence of its 250 years of age. There has been a small patch of veneer let into the top; otherwise the piece is in excellent condition and has been sympathetically restored so all the drawers run beautifully.
Circa 1770.
