Antique mahogany centre dining table

Antique art nouveau inlaid walnut and mahogany dining or centre table. This is a stunning quality and unusual antique mahogany table which will seat eight people or alternatively can be used as a statement piece in a reception hall. The whole is very heavy. The octagonal top detaches to allow the item to be moved and sits upon a walnut base inlaid with striking pewter strap-work. Each of the four legs are octagonal concaves to create symmetry with the top. The base has a hand carved frieze of vines and fruit. We cannot find a signature but this was undoubtedly a commissioned piece.
