Antique Chippendale period 18th century mahogany bureau. This is one of the finest and original bureaux I have seen, being from one of Thomas Chippendale designs. With original swan neck handles the colour and patina on this bureau are wonderful. The fall front having a wonderful flame veneer behind which is an arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes. Having original hinges ,locks and keys. Beneath which is an unusual arrangement of drawers. The graduated central three being serpentine in form. All are oak lined. Flanked on either side by two cupboards with adjustable shelves to the interior. All standing on ogee bracket feet.
